
RUNNER/JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT
Abir is currently working for Swan Films where he assists the team on set and in the office with research, set assistance and general office duties.

FREELANCE RUNNER
On some weekends Abir works on various studio and location based shoots as a Freelance Runner where he efficiently assists cast and crew with daily needs, liaising with all members to ensure all needs are met. His credits include feature films, music videos, TV series and live studio programmes/events.

BTS DIRECTOR / FLOOR ASSISTANT
As part of a collaboration with Ravensbourne University London, the Royal Shakespeare Company presented multiple productions of classic Shakespeare plays, with in-studio interaction aired to thousands of schools around the UK. In 2018, Abir was in charge of planning/directing shots of footage to be met by the brief set by the RSC and the companies that owned the broadcast equipment. In 2017, he worked on fixing and arranging the set with quick turnarounds both before and during live broadcast, as well as assisting the cast members with their daily needs.

VIDEO EDITOR INTERN
In Autumn 2018, Abir took on an internship with the travel media company Ink. Here he was able to successfully edit multiple social media videos that were delivered to tight turnarounds, whilst editing stock footage to be sold and distributed on Shutterstock. He also efficiently took over any office related tasks to assist the team throughout the day.

LEAD PRODUCER
Abir was the Lead Producer of the annual 'Ravensbourne Degree Show' in 2018. He had the opportunity to working with students/Deans to launch the then-college as a university whilst encouraging a diverse set of prospective students, recruiting members, making creative/marketing decisions, allocating budgets and carefully overseeing each department.

VIDEO EDITOR
As part of a collaboration with Ravensbourne University London, Gearhouse Broadcast hired multiple students to produce content for their online platforms. Abir was selected to edit interviews to satisfy various teams, including high-level executives. This role involved quick turnarounds and liaising with a variety of people to meet the company's brief.

INSIGHT PLACEMENT
For two weeks, Abir joined the team at ITV to work on the first series of 'Survival of the Fittest'. He gained experience casting for the reality show in which he found potential applicants and worked closely with the casting team as he assisted the auditions process with general needs.

VIDEO PRODUCER, SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER & WRITER
In 2016 Abir joined Diva Dirt, the number one online source for women's wrestling. Here he was involved in planning, producing and editing programmes for the newly rebranded YouTube channel, writing news reports on the world of women's wrestling, creating graphics for the site's social media pages and posting engaging content (i.e. as GIFs, graphics and sharable debates) on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT
In 2015, Abir took on an apprenticeship and thus got to complete a work placement at VICE/VICELAND for a year. Here he was able to organise meetings, accommodation, confidential materials and budgets in a cost-effective fashion, complete transcriptions in a timely manner, research locations, archive material and facts, participate in development meetings and assisting on various location and studio based shoots.
